With the help of active duty members, veterans, and military family members, we conducted eight virtual focus groups. These groups helped guide the study’s design, including how we connect with people, the questions we ask, and our approach to asking them. The feedback we received was key in creating our final survey, which we designed to reflect the real-life experiences of military-connected families.
Data collection is planned to begin in September 2025. The information we collect will help us create better tools and support for families making decisions about home safety. We’ll keep you updated as the study moves forward. We’ll share results here, in scientific journals, and at community and professional events. Check back here for updates.
